High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) invests in recurring payment service isaac10 GmbH

September 17, 2015

Leipzig-based start-up company isaac10 develops an API-interface for recurring payment automation.

With focus on recurring periodic payments the payment service isaac10 GmbH provides an innovative management solution for SaaS-models and all those based on recurring payments in European countries. Along with providers of Cloud Computing the key focus areas are also insurers, telecommunications provider, publishers and those in the field of the sharing economy. On the one hand he acts as a payment service provider (PSP) in order to implement SEPA-, Paypal- and credit card transactions. On the other hand, as a recurring billing service, isaac10 also provides appropriate solutions for more complex tariff structures.

isaac10 positions itself as a German company in a strongly growing market across Europe, thus competing with the service Zuora, which recently entered the European market, and the French competitor SlimPay.

With the seed financing High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) invests in the Leipzig-based company, thereby supporting the technological advancement of this technology and its market entry.

“To have attracted such a renowned seed investor for our company, as the High-Tech Gründerfonds is, lends an additional verve for reaching our goals and making recurring payment transactions in Europe as easy as possible”, says Christian-André Knips, founder and CEO of isaac10 GmbH.

Due to the dynamic spread of digitalization and the constantly changing needs of companies and sectors, services are increasingly being offered subscription-based. isaac10 is responding to this by a SaaS-solution in order to manage recurring payments in all flexibility, simplicity and with a minimum of integration efforts for providers. Any complex subscription model with temporally limited actions or tariff changes can be modeled. Thanks to the automation of those complex processes in the recurring payment management the company is right at the technical cutting edge. A transparent pricing structure makes the service even more attractive for merchants.

“High-Tech Gründerfonds regarded this service, adressing the issue of recurring payments efficiently and comprehensively, as a great opportunity right from the get-go”, states Stefan Wendel, investment manager of the HTGF.

Right from the pre-seed phase five business angels invested in the company, so that a solid technical foundation of the solution could be developed. The financing provided by the HTFG is incorporated into the continuous technical development, the creation of a team and the expanded entry to the market.
