Makerist is the first website to change this by creating a virtual ecosystem for crafters. From online video classes to improve skills and knowledge, to a large patterns marketplace for projects, to a curated materials shop and community features – at Makerist crafters can really find everything they need for their creative hobby and just get started.

Our strong focus is to help people get better at their craft, by gaining or improving skills. We offer online video classes with a large network of expert trainers in sewing, patchwork, knitting, crochet, cake decoration and more. This way, it’s finally possible to learn when and how you want, from your own home – and if the internet is too slow, also offline on our iPad App or DVDs.

We want to inspire people, not just with skills, but also with exciting new projects – for this we set up a patterns marketplace with over 6,000 PDF ebooks from independent creative designers. Best-sellers, seasonal projects, fashion or trend – there is something here for everyone.

Makerist creates additional value by connecting this inspirational content wtih curated materials and creating a community showroom where members can showcase their finished projects, ask questions and look for tips.
