Yoga Fitness App Asana Rebel Raised $6.5M in Series A

Asana Rebel “The Yoga Inspired Fitness App” has successfully raised $6.5M in its Series A funding led by e.ventures. Besides Business Angels further investors are La Famiglia and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). As the yoga app with the most downloads and the highest revenue in 2017, Asana Rebel is on a fast-track to become the category leader. The app offers a unique approach, combining the best of Yoga and Fitness.

Their vision to create a completely new form of workouts with Yoga Inspired Fitness hit a real nerve in the booming segment. We have rarely seen such rapid global revenue growth combined with such a capital operational efficiency close to profitability, and we’re looking forward to making this journey together with the team,” says Jonathan Becker, Principal at e.ventures, and also a new member of Asana Rebel’s board. A further addition to the board will be Chiara Sommer, Senior Investment Manager at High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF). HTGF, Germany’s most active and largest seed investor, was one of the first investors involved in the early stages of Asana Rebel.

The team has achieved outstanding revenue growth while being very capital efficient. Within one and a half year of existence, Asana Rebel has already more than 150k paying subscribers and has grown revenue by 600% year over year.
The new funding will be invested in building and improving the product, strengthening customer loyalty and encouraging them to change their lifestyle. “This is a huge opportunity for us,” says Co-founder Pascal Klein. “Not only are we building a business; we are helping people with one of the most important aspects in life – health. By supporting them in achieving certain fitness goals, we help them to live a healthier and happier life.”
Since 2015 the founders Pascal Klein and Robin Pratap have assembled an international and dedicated team of 35 ambitious people for their Berlin based startup. “Our goal is not only to build a high-performing organization but we want to create an atmosphere where each and every single one of our employees can achieve their full potential,” Pratap explains. “Only with a great team can we push Asana Rebel to the next level.
