Content marketing platform contentbird completes rebranding and fresh financing round

The content marketing platform linkbird, which is used by more than 500 companies, has now changed its name to contentbird and completed an additional financing round.

The company formerly known as linkbird has secured investment from High-Tech Gründerfonds, ALSTIN Family, idealo.de founder Martin Sinner and other successful digital entrepreneurs. The funds are set to be used to drive the implementation of pioneering product innovations in the field of content marketing and further expand the Berlin-based firm. To this end, the company is changing its name from linkbird GmbH to contentbird GmbH and has seen its total financing volume increased to over EUR 2 million.

“We are delighted that our company’s excellent development and powerful vision – to support companies in increasing their online visibility and gaining high-quality customers through content – has impressed both existing and new investors. Through this additional financing, we will continue to push contentbird towards European expansion as a comprehensive content marketing platform, offering companies of all sizes a complete solution for the entire content process on one platform – from strategy and implementation to monetisation and analysis,” says Nicolai Kuban, CEO and Co-Founder of contentbird.

Two-thirds of consumers already trust content more than advertising. An increasing number of companies are therefore turning to content marketing to increase their digital visibility organically and via search and social channels and to support purchasing decisions in a digital and trustworthy fashion.

contentbird was quick to identify the effectiveness and sustainability of this channel for major e-commerce companies and leading agencies. The contentbird platform enables in-demand content to be created, published and monetised more intelligently, ensuring companies are less dependent on paid marketing campaigns.

Successful companies such as sixt, homify, zalando, momondo and many others are already using the platform to generate more organic visitors, a stronger position and more trust within the target group through relevant content.

contentbird.io has received various awards, such as the “Seal of Excellence” and the “Innovations-Preis IT”, and was also named as the most powerful content marketing tool by t3n magazine.
