Our passion is high tech. We invest in start-ups in the fields of digital tech, industrial technology, life sciences, chemistry and related business areas.
Our portfolio companies include: instagrid, Mister Spex, Taxdoo, asana rebel, VMRay, Atriva, traceless materials, Orbex, Outfittery, Banxware or Rigontec.
Our investment criteria
Your company
- is a high-tech start-up that is active in digital tech, industrial tech, the life sciences, chemicals or related fields
- is no more than three years old (entry in commercial register or equivalent)
- is headquartered in Germany or – in the case of start-ups from other European countries – has a German base of operations
How we offer financing
We invest up to 1 million euros in the seed round either as the lead investor or with partners. You can either bring partners with you or we can approach suitable investors from our network on your behalf.
In total, we can invest 4 million euros across all financing rounds – and we open doors. About 5 billion euros of capital from external investors have flowed into the HTGF portfolio.

Around 1.4 billion euros under management
Since 2005 we have invested in more than 700 start-ups. With the launch of its fourth fund, HTGF now has about 1.4 billion euros under management. We have already achieved more than 170 successful exits, including IPOs.
