kaufDA acquires MeinProspekt

July 29, 2014

By acquiring MeinProspekt, kaufDA expands its reach and offerings as the retail industry’s leading advertising partner for local digital brochures in Germany.

Today, consumer information portal kaufDA (www.kaufda.de) announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the Munich company MeinProspekt (www.meinprospekt.de). kaufDA, an enterprise of the Berlin-based Bonial International Group (www.bonial.com), thereby expands its leading position regarding mobile, location-based digital catalogs and brochures in Germany.

“With the acquisition of MeinProspekt, kaufDA strengthens its position as a leading advertising solution for retail in the mobile and stationary internet. Thus it will be able to react more quickly to consumers’ changing information behavior in the future, and address these changes in an even more targeted manner,” explains Christian Gaiser, CEO of the Bonial International Group and founder of kaufDA. “The user groups of the marketing lines of kaufDA and MeinProspekt complement each other perfectly. By bringing together our expertise and resources, we are able to offer our advertising clients even better fitting solutions with maximum reach.”

“Both MeinProspekt and kaufDA are well-established in the market,” says Michele Arcaro, CEO of MeinProspekt. “However, the potential of digital brochure advertising has not yet been exhausted by far. We will see substantial usage growth as well as displacements of advertising budgets in the future. Considering that, we are optimally positioned as part of Bonial International Group and partner of kaufDA.”

“As MeinProspekt’s seed investor we are very happy to have generated a great success with this exit. We believed in the scalability and the potential of digital prospectus advertising from early on”, emphasizes Romy Schnelle, Investment Director at High-Tech Gruenderfonds (HTGF).
