The only way to achieve a long-term sustainable water supply is to make wastewater reuse affordable – a complex process with increasing energy requirements. At the same time, energy generation, storage and transformation require more and more water. This megatrend, also known as the Water Energy Nexus, represents one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century. Both the industrial and municipal markets depend on innovative technical solutions for water treatment that are efficient and sustainable.
We at akvola Technologies believe that affordable and sustainable wastewater reuse is of paramount importance for the water supply of mankind – in economic, environmental and social terms.
akvoFloat™ is a hybrid water treatment process consisting of flotation and filtration. The MicroGas™ microbubble generator, novel ceramic flat filter membranes, and proprietary membrane cleaning strategies make the process the most energy-efficient process available on the market for the removal of oil and suspended solids in heavily polluted industrial wastewater.
The MicroGas™ microbubble generator is the most cost effective and robust flotation device for maximum removal of suspended solids as well as fat and oil independent of pH, temperature and salinity. Originally developed as an alternative to DAF with minimal components and operating costs, the MicroGas™ microbubble generator has many applications, especially in water and wastewater treatment, chemical reactors and aquaculture.
Matan Beery, Founder & CEO
