Strategic investment for baimos technologies by automotive supplier company

August 4, 2011

Automotive supplier Marquardt, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital strengthen their ties with baimos technologies, a leader in the field of mobile security solutions.

BlueID technology, a system for secure digital identification by mobile phone, meets growing interest in the automotive sector. BlueID Drive is a development of baimos technologies and automotive supplier Marquardt. It provides the possibility to send access permissions and driver authorizations to mobile phones. In turn, cars can be opened and started by mobile phone. Especially for car rental companies and the growing carsharing market, BlueID offers great potential for increasing efficiency and process optimization. Alongside existing investors High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital, Marquardt participates in the investment. Increased marketing and sales activities for the product lines BlueID Access and BlueID Login, as well as the product launch of BlueID Drive are objectives of the investment. All parties agreed to maintain confidentiality about the details of the transaction.
High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital, investors of baimos technologies since 2007, are pleased about the closed round of financing: “It is good to see that baimos technologies was able to build up a strong pillar in the automotive industry. With Marquardt’s investment and the continuing commitment of High-Tech Gründerfonds and Bayern Kapital, dynamic growth of the company as well as establishment of BlueID as a standard for secure digital permission management are possible” says Holger Heinen, Investment Director at High-Tech Gründerfonds.
